Three more Ministers were inducted into the BJP-led Biren Singh Cabinet in Manipur on Thursday.

In the 60-member Manipur Assembly, the Chief Minister is allowed to have a 12-member Council of Ministers.

Governor Najma Heptullah administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Ministers at the Raj Bhavan.

The new Ministers are Nemcha Haokip, T. Radheshyam and V. Hankhalian from Kangpokpi, Thoubal and Churachandpur districts, respectively.

The Cabinet has two BJP Ministers, four from the National People’s Party, one from the Naga People’s Front and one from the LJP. T. Shyamkumar of the Congress had defected to become a Minister. The disqualification process against him is under way. The lone Independent and Trinamool Congress MLAs supporting the coalition government did not find a place in the Cabinet.
