Beneficiaries of social security pensions boycotted the gram sabha and detained the village secretary at the Gram Panchayat office for a brief period at Ankol village in Nizamabad district, protesting the non-inclusion of all the eligible persons for the pensions, on Friday. At Anchanur village in Domakonda mandal, the aged persons, widows and others staged a rasta roko demanding immediate release of pensions to all the eligible persons. They withdrew the agitation after the authorities promised them to look into their demand.
