The State government is according top priority to the uplift of tribal people, particularly Chenchus in the district who are very backward, said Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary.

The Speaker further said the children of Chenchus would be enrolled into special English learning programme where they would pick up language within six months. They would be taken to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao after the conclusion of the programme.

Mr. Chary distributed television sets to 75 Chenchu families belonging to Chenchupalli and Bhavsinghpalli.
