Mega literary event in Karimnagar on Saturday

To witness a host of CDs and book releases

The department of languages and culture, Vishwanadha Sahitya Peetamand Sahithi Gowthami have decided to conduct mega literary events including the release of books, CDs of Vishwanadha Satyanarayana and C. Narayana Reddy and others in Karimnagar town on Saturday.

State legislative assembly speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary would release “Thousand hoods”, the English version of Kavi samrat Vishwanadha Satyanarayana’s “Veyipadagalu”. Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Eatala Rajender would release a book on “Dr. B. R. Ambedkar gari mukyamaina bhavalu”.

TSTDC chairman P. Ramulu would release CDs titled “Kinnerasani Paatalu” songs sung by Vishawanadha Satyanarayana.

Nizamabad MP Kavitha would release a special issue of “Jayanthi on Dr. C. Narayana Reddy”. Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar would release CDs of padyas sung by J. Gautham Rao.

Similarly, the books titled “Wit and Wisdom”, “Yee Kaalapu Maanavuni Sandhigdhaavasta” and “Biqri Shabnam” (urdu poems) written by Kondal Rao Velichala would be released by the former V-C of Venkateshwara university J. Prabhakar Rao, R. Anantha Padmanabha Rao and former V-C of Telangana university Akbar Ali Khan respectively.

Former V-C of Telugu university Anumandla Bhoomaiah, former professor of Central university M. Veerabadraiah, former director of Telugu academy K. Yadagiri, Editor, Muse India U. Atreya Sarma, grand daughter of Cinare Varenya, daughter of J. Gautam Rao, J. Arundhati, retired English faculty Chepuru Subba Rao, senior doctor and writer B. Narender and Rafia Sultana would speak on the occasion.

On this occasion, the first Vishwanadha memorial literary award would be presented to Kovela Suprasannacharya.

T. Leela Kumari would deliver the first Vishwanada memorial endowment lecture on “Telangana Tejam – Tera Tolagina Ratnam Narayana Rao”, according to director of department of languages and culture Mamidi Harikrishna and chairman of Vishwanadha Sahitya Peetam Kondal Rao Velichala.
