JNTUH warns colleges against study tours

June 10, 2014 12:44 am | Updated 12:45 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The JNTU Hyderabad has decided to send a circular to all colleges not to send their students on excursions or study tours, particularly to risky places. The decision was taken in the wake of the tragedy of State students in Himachal Pradesh.

The varsity Registrar N.V. Ramana Rao said that excursions or study tours were not part of the varsity curriculum. Students can go on industrial visits to nearby places and not study tours. A circular is being sent to all the affiliated colleges in this regard and action will be initiated against colleges that violate the norms.
