Books authored by women writers released

In connection with the International Women’s Day celebrations, Indur Bharathi, a writers’ federation, at a function here on Sunday, released three books authored by women writers.

Federation president Apkari Surya Prakash released Nadinai Pravahinchalani , an anthology of poetry written by Swati Sreepada. V. Triveni, assistant professor of Telugu in Telangana University reviewed the book. Ms. Pudota Shourielu released Poralu , a compilation of short stories written by the same writer, while Kala Gopal reviewed it.

A senior doctor Ms. Jayani Nehru unveiled the book Moodava Manishi , a long poetry authored by Renuka Ayola while Ms. V. Shanthi Praboda conducted the review. Writers and poetesses Rajiva, Turlapati Lakshmi, B. Devika Rani, I. Malleeswari, T. Vijaya Lakshmi, Sreepada Kumara Sarma and Indur Bharathi general secretary Meka Ramaswami spoke on the occasion.

Ms. Sarada Hanmandlu presided over the function.
