The State government has issued an order toward reorganising of Chief Engineer (Project), Adilabad and reorganising of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella Sujala Sravanthi, the Kaleswaram project, Karimnagar and Adilabad projects. The orders issued on March 2, vide G.O. Ms. No. 16 of Irrigation and CAD Department also gives the revised staffing pattern for the cadre strength of 1,748 of which 153 posts are by redeployment.
According to the Government Order, the CE (P), Adilabad will look after Penganga projects, Pranahita packages 1 to 5 operating through two circles and three divisions. The Bellampalli Construction Circle looking after the all important Pranahita project packages will operate from Bellampalli town and the Penganga Projects Circle overseeing construction of the State’s share of the inter-State Lower Penganga Project and the Korta-Chanaka barrage across Penganga river will operate from Adilabad.
