The three-day annual Ugadi Mitra Milan is all set to start on Monday at Kala Ashram as participants have started arriving from all corners of the country. The Mitra Milan is a platform for informal discussions between experts in the fields of agriculture practices, health, education, livelihoods and lifestyles in the ever-changing rural scenario. The discussions are aimed at finding solutions and evolving best practices hinging upon those that prevailed in the past. Among the participants are Ashish Gupta of Jabalpur, who is an expert in rural management and Alok Singh from Lucknow, who has worked to bring out untold stories of the role of women in the first struggle for Independence in 1857.
