It was a visual treat as Kuchipudi exponents unfolded vividly Sri Lalitha Bhandasura Charitam flooring both connoisseurs of arts and laymen.

The grand ballet choreographed by noted Kuchipudi exponent A.B. Bala Kondala Rao of the dance school Kuchipudi Kala Kendram brought out the best from over 25 dancers who showcased their talent during the musical nite held at the Santhapeta Saibaba temple open air theatre here as part of ‘Ugadi Vasantha Navaratri Mahotsavam.’

The dancers including Harini (Lalithamba), Aditya (Bandasura), Sowmiya (Siva), Rachana (Mohini), Girija (Vishnu) won a big round of applause with their captivating performance of the mythological play of the mother goddess annihilating Bhandasura in an intense battle.

Choreographic talent of Mr. Bala Kondal Rao, disciple of Sri Vempati China Satyam, was fully appreciated by one and all. Nalla Chakravarthi Jaganathacharyulu (lyricist), Buchayyacharyulu (music composer) and Dharanidhar (make-up artist) chipped in with their contributions to create brilliant scenes to bring out the talents of the dancers, who excelled both in expression and footwork.

The artistes were felicitated by Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad Praksam district president Alahari Chenchala Rao and Saradamba of Saradha Sangeetha Sabha.
