The Tamil Nationalist Movement will extend its support to the Movement Against Neutrino and villagers who are fighting against the India-based Neutrino Observatory, said movement leader P. Nedumaran.

Taking part in a fast observed by members of Tamil Urimai Meetpu Kuzhu here on Sunday, he said the laboratory would be of no use to rural people around it.

It would certainly affect the environment and pollute the atmosphere. The members of the movement would intensify the agitation by mobilising people, if the government failed to stop the project, he said. Around 150 members observed the fast, protesting against the INO project at Pottipuram panchayat near Thevaram.
