Passengers of Mumbai-Nagercoil Express staged a demonstration at the Erode Junction on Monday evening flaying the Railway authorities for “failure” to replenish water in the long-distance train.

Delay

Government Railway police prevailed upon the Railway authorities to fill water in the train and persuaded the passengers to occupy their seats. The train departed after detention for over half an hour, police sources said.

According to official sources, refilling of water for the train that starts journey in the Western Railway jurisdiction ought to have taken place in any of the stations in the South-Central Railway zone.
