The outflow from the Krishnagiri reservoir stood at 1059 cusecs, the same as the inflow into the reservoir. Two days after a flood warning was issued for the low-lying areas falling within the watershed of the reservoir, the inflow into the reservoir from Kelavarapalli was 1059 cusecs. Since the water level had reached 50 feet of the reservoir capacity of 52 feet, the outflow has been maintained at the same 1059 cusecs. With the Adi Perukku on Tuesday, the outflow is expected to bring cheer to the people, even as the reservoir area has been fortified with barricades to meet the teeming tourists.
