Waive education loans: KMDK

The Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK)on Tuesday urged the Central and State governments to waive education loans.

The State Government must realise that it has not created employment opportunities for the students who had completed their higher education with bank loans, KMDK general secretary E.R. Eswaran said in a press release.

The candidates who ultimately land in measly-paid jobs unrelated to their subject of study are in a fix unable to repay the education loans. Decline in industrial growth in the State due to diminishing investments is the cause for joblessness, Mr. Eswaran said, referring to Tamil Nadu’s 18th ranking in this respect.
