Mayor Malliga Paramasivam distributing sweets to public at the bus stand in Erode on Monday to celebrate assumption of office by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Travelling public on Monday relished watching swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected state government on a giant LED screen fitted to a van at the Corporation Bus Stand.

The van provided to the Department of Information and Public Relations for propaganda of government schemes and achievements was stationed at a vantage point for public viewing. District Collector S. Prabakar and District Revenue Officer R. Satheesh joined the public in watching the ceremony.

Bhavani MLA K.C. Karupannan was among the cabinet team to take oath as a new Minister holding Environment portfolio. Mayor P. Malliga Paramasivam who also watched the proceedings distributed sweets to the people around.

The arrangements were put in place by DIPR team led by District Public Relations Officer C. Seenivasan.
