Summer special trains

The Railways will operate special trains between Kochuveli and Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) via Erode, Coimbatore to clear the summer rush.

The train No. 00611 Kochuveli – Krishnarajapuram special fare Suvidha Special trains will be operated from Kochuveli on Sundays till June 26.

The trains will depart on Sundays at 6.35 p.m., Coimbatore - 2.05 a.m. the next day, Erode - 3.25 a.m. and will reach Krishnarajapuram at 8 a.m.

The train No. 06011 Krishnarajapuram – Nagercoil special fare specials via Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Kollam will be operated from Krishnarajapuram on Mondays till June 27.

The train will depart from Krishnarajapuram at 11.10 a.m.; Salem 2.50 p.m.; Erode 4.05 p.m.; Tirupur 4.50 p.m.; Coimabatore 5.45 p.m. and will reach Nagercoil at 4.15 a.m. on Tuesday, an official press release of Salem Railway Division issued here on Wednesday said.

The composition of these trains is one AC 2 tier; three AC 3 tier; 12 non AC sleeper, three general second class and two luggage-cum-brake vans.

The advance booking for these trains is already open.

Track

doubling

Due to track doubling work between Tamaraipadi and Dindigul stations of Madurai Railway Division, the following changes are made in the operations of trains that pass through Salem Division on May 27:

Train No. 56826 / 56825 Tirunelveli-Erode-Tirunelveli passenger trains to be partially cancelled between Madurai and Erode; train No. 16340 Nagercoil-Mumbai CST Express will be delayed at Madurai for 45 minutes from 12.05 p.m. to 12.50 p.m.; train No. 56320 Coimbatore – Nagercoil Passenger will be delayed at Eriyodu for 34 minutes from 12.56 p.m. to 1.30 p.m., according to a press release of the Salem Railway Division issued here on Wednesday.
