Sri Lankan Tamil couple held

A Sri Lankan Tamil couple were arrested under the Foreigner’s Act after they reportedly entered India clandestinely through a boat on Saturday.

Police identified the couple as V. Dharmakumar (37) and Nainurusha (33) of Baticaloa in Sri Lanka. They had landed near Thangachimadam in Ramanathapuram district on the night of Friday. Later, they came to Sri Lankan Refugee Camp in Uchapatti near Tirumangalam.

Q Branch police handed them over to Austinpatti police, who arrested them.
