Special trains for Tamil conference

Southern Railway will run special trains for the World Classical Tamil conference to be held at Coimbatore.

Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast specials: The train (0649) will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. on June 21 and reach Coimbatore at 6.50 a.m. the next day. It will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Coimbatore North.

On June 22, the train (0647) will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. and reach Coimbatore at 6.30 a.m. the next day. The train (0648) will leave Coimbatore at 11.45 p.m. on June 27 and arrive at Chennai Central at 7.45 a.m. It will stop at Perambur besides the stations mentioned above.

Kanyakumari – Coimbatore – Kanyakumari specials: The train (0666) will leave Kanyakumari at 4.15 a.m. on June 22 and arrive at Coimbatore at 5.30 p.m. the same day. The train (0665) will leave Coimbatore at 11.55 p.m. on June 27 and arrive at Kanyakumari at 2 p.m. the next day.

The trains will stop at Nagercoil, Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Maniyachi, Satur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Karur, Erode and Tiruppur.

Advance reservations for the above trains begin on June 14.
