Special meeting of Airport Security Committee held

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) authorities at the Chennai airport on Monday convened a special meeting of the Airport Security Committee.

This followed the seizure of cracker material wrapped in paper from an aircraft at the Thiruvananthapuram airport on Sunday. The CISF authorities sensitised their personnel and airline staff and loaders.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has sent an advisory alert to all airportsthe CISF authorities said.
