A special health camp will be held at Konnakavali village near here on Monday to benefit senior citizens. The programme is organised as part of Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation to create awareness among senior citizens to exercise their franchise. Collector Satyendra Singh Dursawat will inaugurate the camp.
Officials seize 207 arrack packets
Flying squad officials seized arrack pockets, numbering 207, at the check post at Sethur near here during the course of a vehicle check-up. The two-wheeler rider abandoned the arrack and fled the scene. The officials handed over the arrack to the police.
Anniversary of association
The anniversary of the Tamil Nadu Farmers Association was held at Regnathapuram near here on Sunday. A. Mohamed Gani and S. Ponnusamy, District secretary of the Association, spoke on the achievements of the forum.
