Seven country made guns were seized and four persons were arrested in Jawadu hills on Sunday. All those guns are Single Barrel Muzzle Loading guns.
Jamunamarathur police conducted a search in Gundurani village and seized two guns from Chidambaram, two from Duraisamy, one each from Govindasamy and Vijaya.
All these four were arrested. One more gun was found from a bush near a brook in Kanisaipudur village, which is also in the hills.
This seizure is part of a series of seizures of guns that has been made in the Jawadu hills recently.
