The Bengaluru Police have arrested seven persons on the charge of stealing Rs. 66 lakh from a cash van in Kalasipalyam police limits recently, and have recovered Rs. 30.23 lakh and the vehicle used to commit the crime.
The arrested are Jamsher (23), K.M. Prabhakar (44), Hemanthkumar (27), Nandakumar (38), Renukappa (42), Murthy (32) and Manjunath (31). Each of them is either a driver or a security officer in a company that carries cash to ATMs. The gang had stolen the vehicle loaded with Rs. 66 lakh in cash when it arrived at the K.R. Market to load cash in an ATM belonging to Central Bank of India.
