A.G. Perarivalan, a death row convict in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case and now lodged in the Vellore central prison, would appear before the State Information Commission and present his case through video-conferencing on Wednesday according to sources.

Perarivalan had petitioned to the SIC seeking information on the visit of a research scholar to the Vellore prison in 2011.

Medical records

He had also sought other details pertaining to his medical records and mercy petitions.

Appeal

Though the SIC had rejected the plea, he filed an appeal seeking personal appearance.

The hearing through video-conferencing would commence at 10.30 a.m, the sources added.
