Priest released from captivity reaches Chennai

Fr. Alexis Premkumar Antonysamy S.J., who was abducted in Afghanistan and released after eight months of captivity reached Chennai and met fellow colleagues from Jesuit Madurai Province, where he became a priest. “I feel happy. I’m holding a press conference tomorrow and will answer all your questions there," he told journalists, soon after arriving here in the evening. “He is tired now and is not able to talk An evening mass conducted at the 'Christ the King' Church inside Loyola College made a reference about the release.      Fr. Premkumar was working with Jesuit Refugee Service in Herat Province of Afghanistan when he was abducted in June last year and was released on Sunday last.
