PMK out of the R.K. Nagar race

The Pattali Makkal Katchi will not contest in the R.K. Nagar bypoll and won’t support candidates of other parties in the election, said party founder S. Ramadoss at the party’s district general body meeting in Tiruvannamalai on Tuesday. He stated that the PMK won’t contest in by-elections until the major parties give an assurance in writing that they won’t distribute cash for votes.

Unveiling his strategy to ensure electoral success for the PMK, he asserted that the era of AIADMK was coming to an end. He said that that a branch of PMK should be present in all villages and each branch should have at least seven members, possibly each representing a different caste.

“That apart, there should be three committees each meant for young men, young women and students in every village, each consisting 10 members. These members should go to people and convince them to vote for PMK in the next assembly election and get them swear by their family deity and by children to vote for PMK. If you can get one lakh people swear to vote for PMK the party will win,” Mr.Ramadoss said.
