Madurai Collector Sagayam shifted

C.P. Singh, Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Archaeology, has been posted Chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

He will be in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, according to an order issued by the Public Department on Wednesday. U. Sagayam, Madurai Collector, who shot into prominence during the Assembly elections last year for his strict enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, has been appointed Special Officer and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers' Cooperative Societies (Co-optex) in place of Pingale Vijay Maruti, who has been transferred as Tiruvannamalai District Collector. Anshul Mishra, who is the present Tiruvannamalai Collector, will succeed Mr. Sagayam as Madurai Collector.

Braj Kishore Prasad, formerly Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will be the new Principal Secretary for the Transport Department.

Pooja Kulkarni, on return from leave, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner (Health) of the Chennai Corporation. R. Nanthagopal, Special Officer, National Cooperative Sugar Mills, Alanganallur, Madurai, will be the Commissioner of Madurai Corporation.
