Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (82) was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital, New Delhi, after he complained of uneasiness. Dr. Kalam was at his Rajaji Marg residence when he developed high fever and flu.
His personal staff rushed him to the Army Hospital where his condition was said to be stable. "He has been touring a lot in the recent weeks. Doctors have advised complete bed rest. His blood pressure, ECG and other vital parameters are normal. Dr. Kalam is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day or two." an official in the former President's office said.
