With the Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital and government hospitals across the district receiving a steady flow of patients suffering from fever, Collector Sandeep Nanduri, along with Minister for Adi Dravida Welfare V.M. Rajalakshmi, inspected Sankarankoil GH on Saturday.

After inspecting the outpatient section, obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics wings, men’s and women’s wards, the Collector visited the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme ward. He asked the patients about the quality of treatment.

Along with Ms. Rajalakshmi, the Collector held a discussion with the doctors on facilities needed. He inspected the preparation of food for inpatients. “The hospital authorities have submitted their wish list, which will be forwarded to Minister for Public Health and Chief Minister for action,” Ms. Rajalakshmi said.

Joint Director of Public Health Elangovan and Deputy Director of Health Services Somasundaram were present.
