Regulatory orders
City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj has promulgated regulatory orders under Section 41 of the Tamil Nadu City Police Act, 1997 (Extended to the Cities of Salem, Tiruchy and Tirunelveli) for 15 days from midnight of April 18.
Compensation given
Superintendent of Police S.R. Senthil Kumar handed over a cheque of Rs. 3 lakh to Vijayakumari (50), a nurse at Primary Health Centre in Elachipalayam, who was attacked by two persons using acid here on December 30, 2014. She is undergoing treatment
for burns at Mettupalayam.
