The V.V. College of Engineering, Thisaiyanvilai, celebrated the fifth College Day and Sports Day recently. The chief guest of the annual sports day was C. S. Rajan Roy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil. He appreciated the talents of the students who excelled in sports.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University E. Balaguruswamy, chief guest of the college day, highlighted the ways to lead a happy life and stressed the importance of leading an ethical life.
He advised the young technocrats to involve themselves in altruistic activities in order to lead a contented life. He distributed the prizes and medals to students who excelled in curricular and extra-curricular activities and teachers who produced excellent results.
V.V.M. Educational Trust Chairman S. Vaikundarajan presided over the function.
Programme
The Department of Management Studies of Einstein College of Engineering, conducted a one-day entrepreneurship development programme for engineers recently.
A. Ezhilvanan, Managing Trustee and Director of the college, asked the students to start their business ventures and provide employment to others. K. Ramar, principal, felicitated the students and chief guest S. Vairavarajan, entrepreneurship development programme trainer, elaborated the skills required for a successful entrepreneur.
Annual Day
The SCAD Engineering College, Cheranmahadevi, celebrated its 6th annual day recently. C.A. Petchi Thangavel, Chief Executive Officer, Petchi and Associates, Charted Accountants, Chennai, was the chief guest.
S. Cletus Babu, chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions, delivered the presidential address and awarded the prizes to outstanding students.
