The government has effected the promotion and transfer of IPS officers across the State. Chennai will have several new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP).
According to an official release, M. Sree Abhinav, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Thuckalay sub-division, Kanniyakumari, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP, Traffic East, Chennai in the existing vacancy.
E. Sai Charan Tejaswi, ASP, Colachel sub-division, Kanniyakumari, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP, Pulianthope, in place of C. Shyamala Devi, who has been posted as SP, Central Investigation Unit, Prohibition Offences, Chennai.
Ravali Priya Gandhapuneni, ASP, Tiruvannamalai town, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP Washermanpet in the post of G. Shasank Sai, who has been posted to Adyar as DCP.
S. Selvanagarathinam, ASP, Tuticorin, has been promoted as SP and posted as DCP, Triplicane, in place of Pravesh Kumar, who has been posted as SP, Crime Branch CID -III, in the existing vacancy.
K. Prabhakar, ASP, STF, Erode has been promoted and posted as DCP, Modern Control Room, Greater Chennai police, in the existing vacancy. V. Shyamala Devi, ASP, Investigative Units for Crime Against Women, Chennai, has been promoted and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai.
S. Santhi, SP, Central Investigation Unit, Prohibition Offences, Chennai, has been posted as SP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Oonamancheri, in the place of B. Shamoondeshwari, who has been shifted to Cyber Cell, CB-CID, in the existing vacancy.
Rohit Nathan Rajagopal, DCP, Adyar, has been posted as SP Railways in the place of Georgy George, who has been transferred as SP, Salem, in the place of P. Rajan, who has been posted as SP, Organised Crime Intelligence Unit, Chennai.
P. Kannamal, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai, has been posted as SP, Central Range, DVAC, Chennai, in the place of H. Jayalakshmi, who has been transferred to the Western Range, Chennai, DVAC.
Saroj Kumar Thakur, SP, Southern Range, DVAC, has been transferred as SP, Railways, Tiruchi range, in the place of Z.
