Superintendent of Police P. Rajan has urged the public to share information on the movement of anti-social elements so that effective steps could be taken.

Addressing the public-police coordination meeting here on Monday, Mr. Rajan said that the public should alert the police if any illegal activities taking place in a particular place and suspicious movement of strangers or any persons. “Alerting the police at the right time helps to prevent the crime and also nab the accused”, he added.

A few villagers from Kolathur area in the past had entered the Madheswaran Hills in Karnataka forest area for illegal hunting and were also arrested.
