Of the three witnesses who were to be examined on Wednesday, one was the bakery owner in front of whose bakery the mishap took place. The other two were the panch in the case.

The prosecution told the court that the bakery owner was bed-ridden due to paralysis, while the other two witnesses had gone out of station. They are to return only on April 4.

Previously, the prosecution had charged him with 'causing death due to negligence'. it later enhanced the charges to 'culpable homicide not amounting to murder'. The court had allowed it.

Subsequently, the actor had sought fresh examination of witnesses in the light of enhanced charge. The court gave a nod to the fresh trial which was to begin on Wednesday.
