Three leaders of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), who were arrested in Bangladesh and handed over to India on Saturday, were produced in the chief judicial magistrate court here on Sunday and remanded to 10 days of police custody.

The leaders, self-styled captains Antu Chowdang and Pranjit Saikia and second lieutenant Pradip Chetia, handed over by the Bangladesh Rifles to the Indian authorities at Dawki in Meghalaya, told journalists that they supported the ULFA general council's decision to hold talks with the Centre without any pre-condition.

The Special Operation Unit of the Assam Police sought 14-day remand of the leaders.
