A day after the West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested Mohammad Masiuddin alias Musa for suspected links with the Islamic State (IS), two more persons were picked up from Birbhum district for alleged terror links.

“Sheikh Abbasuddin alias Amin and Saddam Hussain alias Sheikh Kalu were arrested from Labhpur in Birbhum on Wednesday on information revealed by Musa during interrogation.

“Musa was in regular touch with them from Tirupur [in Tamil Nadu]. All the suspects are being cross-examined face-to-face,” Deputy Inspector General (CID) Dilip Kumar Adak told The Hindu. The CID has slapped sedition charges against all the three. Musa has been charged under the Arms Act as well.
