Two minor girls were allegedly raped by two men in Bihar’s Banka district.
According to the girls’ statement to the police, the men from their neighbourhood forcibly took them on motorcycles to Simultala, which falls on the border of Jamui district, on Monday night.
They raped the girls and were trying to kidnap them but were spotted and handed over to the police, Banka Superintendent of Police Pushkar Anand told The Hindu .
One of the accused, Manjur Ansari, 40, has been arrested, while the other, Inamul Ansari, is absconding.
The police have registered a rape case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. Medical reports are yet to confirm rape.
