Three hideouts busted in J&K

Three hideouts, including one of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) ‘divisional commander’, were busted by the security forces in separate incidents and arms, ammunition and explosive were recovered in Jammu and Kashmir.

In pursuance of the leads provided by the self-styled LeT commander, Abdullah Inqullabi, who was arrested in New Delhi last week, a team of Delhi Police led by ACP Bishen Singh and state police personnel from Rajouri escorted the terrorist to Budhal area where Rashtriya Rifles troops launched a search last evening, police said here today.

During the search operation, the natural cave hideout in the forest area in Bhudal was busted and a cache, including one AK 56 rifle with four magazines, 120 rounds of ammunition among other things was recovered.

In another operation, a joint column of Rashtriya Rifles and State police recovered a cache from Bihota in district Doda after a hideout was busted in the area last night, they said, adding that an AK magazine, a binocular, 10 AK ammunition rounds were recovered from it.

In the third operation, troops of joint column of Rashtriya Rifles and state police launched a search operation in Sarkandnala in district Ramban last night and busted a hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Khari Zuber.

The recoveries made from hideout included a detonator, 7 pika rounds among other things.
