Sukhram’s son sworn in

March 03, 2013 02:22 am | Updated 02:24 am IST - SHIMLA:

Anil Sharma, son of the former Union Communications Minister Sukhram, on Saturday took the oath as Minister in the Virbhadra Singh Cabinet. Governor Urmila Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Sharma at Raj Bhavan here.

He has been given the portfolios of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Animal Husbandry.

The Chief Minister told reporters that one more Minister would be inducted after the budget session.

He was reportedly keen on taking in Karan Singh from Kullu.

But the Congress high command is keener on making AICC Secretary Asha Kumari minister to keep the balance of power.
