Shanmuganathan sworn in as Manipur Governor

Meghalaya Governor, V. Shanmuganathan, was sworn in as the 17th Governor of Manipur at a simple function at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Chief Justice of the Manipur High court Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra administered the oath of office.

Shanmuganathan has been given additional charge of Manipur after the demise of incumbent Syed Ahmed on Sunday.

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, his ministerial colleagues, senior civil and police officials were present.
