The RJD will go it alone in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections early next year.

“RJD chief Lalu Prasad has directed the State unit to field candidates in all the 403 seats,” RJD State president Ashok Singh said on Wednesday.

He said Mr. Lalu Prasad wanted selection of candidates to be done at the earliest so that their names could be finalised by the national leadership soon.

“Accordingly, State office bearers and district unit presidents have been asked to send names of candidates within 15 days,” Mr. Singh added.
