J&K Minister’s personal security officer flees with arms

A personal security officer of Jammu and Kashmir PWD Minister Altaf Bukhari, fled with two service weapons and three magazines on Friday.

“PSO Nisar Ahmad Pandit ran away with two service weapons and we are on his trail,” a senior police official said. “The accused had joined as PSO to Altaf Bukhari only a fortnight ago.”

Mr. Bukhari told The Hindu : “It’s a highly disconcerting incident which shows how secure we really are here. It has rung alarm bells everywhere.”
