Property dealers held for shooting at rival

August 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 12:25 pm IST - New Delhi:

Two property dealers have been arrested for shooting at a rival broker earlier this month over land deal. Vijay and Krishanpal had been absconding since their alleged plan to eliminate Yogesh failed. The victim survived despite being shot in the chest. When Yogesh regained consciousness a few days after being admitted to a hospital, he told the police about the duo’s role in the shooting.

Arrested on Thursday, the suspects allegedly told the police during interrogation that they indulged in land deals, several of them dubious in nature, in western parts of Delhi.

The police have learnt that Vijay was arrested earlier in connection with the murder of another property dealer in the same area. He was jailed for nearly 18 months before resuming his property business.
