In yet another shocking incident, a patient on Thursday alleged that he was mercilessly beaten up by a senior doctor of SCB Medical College and Hospital’s nephrology department.
The patient, a native of Baragarh district, alleged that when he came for further treatment on Thursday, Prof. Chittaranjan Kar slapped and kicked him saying why he had not come on the day when he has outdoor duty.
However, Prof. Kar denied the allegations, saying he never assaulted the patient.
Hospital Superintendent Prof. Shyama Kanungo confirmed that she had received a complaint in this regard.
