A Pakistani national was apprehended after he illegally crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, an army spokesman said on Thursday.

The Pakistani national, identified as 35-year-old Talib Hussain of Rawalakot district, was apprehended by jawans last night after he crossed over to the Indian Territory, the spokesman said.

Hussain was wearing a brown pathan suit and brown leather shoes, he said, adding that Urdu documents and food items were recovered from his possession.

The Pakistani national was later handed over to police for further investigation, the spokesman added.
