Now, adopt an animal in Tripura zoo

February 11, 2014 01:46 am | Updated May 18, 2016 07:20 am IST - Agartala:

You can now adopt a tiger, crocodile or even a rhinoceros by paying for its upkeep at Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary and zoo, located 25 km south of Agartala.

“Interested persons and institutions may adopt an animal they like by contributing amounts ranging from Rs 5,020 to Rs 2,81,000 every year for its upkeep,” said Tripura’s Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Atul Kumar Gupta. In return, the zoo would offer certificates and complimentary passes and display the name of the individual or institution near the adopted animal’s enclosure.
