Nine-year-old rape victim shifted to Nagpur

A nine-year-old girl who was gang-raped at Akhetpur village in Madhya Pradesh on April 24, was shifted to Nagpur on Friday after her condition deteriorated in a Jabalpur Hospital.

She was taken to the Care Hospital here for treatment of kidney failure. “She had low platelet count with signs of acute kidney injuries and fever secondary to sepsis,” Dr. Ravi Mannadiyar told the media in a medical bulletin on Friday evening. “A team of six consultants are treating the child,” he said.
