A CRPF personnel was killed and two others injured in an ambush by Naxalites at Dantewada district today, police said.
CRPF personnel Manveer Saha was killed whereas S K Khajuriya and Ajay Singh were injured in the ambush, police said.
The CRPF second battalion’s headquarter company’s personnel, posted at Sukma area, had set out for patrolling today. When they neared the forest of Kerlapal and Chitpal village, Naxals fired at them, they said.
The personnel retaliated to the firing after which the rebels fled the spot, they said, adding, a special force has been sent to the spot.
The injured were admitted to a hospital here.
