The body of the 27-year-old tourist from New Delhi, who was allegedly raped and killed near Chakrata, was found near the banks of the Yamuna near Damta check-post in Uttarkashi district on Thursday morning.

The woman was missing since October 23. Paul’s body was found on October 30. Four people accused of killing the couple have been arrested and sent to Tehri jail.

“The police and State Disaster Response Force personnel were looking for the body near the area where the accused claimed to have disposed it of. However, the body seems to have drifted 20 kilometres from that spot,” a senior officer said.
