Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Minister Ramsheela Sahu has warned to take strict action against officials who provide incorrect information in the state Assembly.

Sahu, who also heads the Social Welfare Department, instructed the officials to carefully draft answers to the questions raised in Vidhan Sabha, a public relations officer said on Wednesday.

The minister, while taking a review meeting here yesterday, also warned that strict action would be taken against those officials who provide wrong information in the Assembly, he said.

She has directed the concerned officials to fully utilise the funds provided under her department’s budget for the welfare of people and in the event of failing to do so the responsible officer will be answerable, he said.

She also asked the directorate officials to conduct regular monitoring of implementation of her department schemes in all the districts, he said.

Sahu also directed the officials to ensure effective execution of ‘Mahtari Jatan Yojna’ (for expecting mothers) and ’Mukhyamantri Amrit Yojna’ (to reduce malnutrition), he added.
