Minister directs officials to ensure water supply

Haryana Public Health Engineering Minister M. Ghanshyam Saraf on Friday directed the officials to ensure adequate supply of drinking water in all villages and towns across the State.

“People block roads and organise protests due to inadequate drinking water supply during summer, which causes inconvenience to all sections of the society,” the Minister said in a statement.

He also said, “If any protest is held or road is blocked due to water problems in any village or town, the officers and officials of the area concerned would be held responsible.”

He directed officers to take concrete steps to avoid wastage of water. Mr Saraf said that the State government was committed toprovide adequate quantity of water to the people. - PTI
