Militant hideout busted in Baramulla

Security forces on Sunday busted a militant hideout in Baramulla district in north Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

“Based on a specific intelligence input regarding location of a terrorist hideout in Tangmula forest of Rafiabad in Baramulla district, a joint operation by a Rashtriya Rifles and police was launched,” an Army spokesman said.

He said that during the search, two AK assault rifles, four AK magazines, 90 AK ammunition rounds, one disposable rocket Launcher, two rockets, three grenades and seven detonators were recovered.

This is the third hideout busted by security forces in the past one week. Security forces recently busted two militant hideouts in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
